Project: P1

P1 stands for Psalm Chapter 1, where the blessed man is described as the one who meditates on the Word of God day and night. Hebrews 4:12 also says that the Word of God is alive and active so that it may be able to change the hearts of all human beings.

We pay $1 for each chapter the participant writes and sends to us. We add $40 as a starting bonus. The first $20 of the starting bonus will be paid when the participant turns in the book of Matthew completed. The second $20 will be paid when 4 gospel books (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John), Acts, and Romans are finished. We currently have 97 participants.

The P1 Project, which was launched in November, 2019, encouraged many inmates to be close to our Lord, Jesus Christ. The P1 Project made the daily lives of many inmates healthy and wholesome. California prison facilities where the P1 Project is being conducted are California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, Orange County Jails and other prisons at Vacaville, North Kern, Corcoran, Susanville and Pleasant Valley. We pray that the P1 Project may be expanded throughout all 35 prisons in California and beyond.

P1 PROJECT Instructional Guidelines (given to participants)

Welcome to the P1 PROJECT! P1 stands for Psalm chapter 1 where the blessed man is described as the one who meditates on the Word of God day and night. Hebrews 4:12 also says that the Word of God is alive and active so that it may be able to change the hearts of all human beings.

We pay $1 for each chapter you write and send to us. We will add $20 as a starting bonus when you turn in the book of Matthew. When you complete the entire book of New Testament, we will pay $30 additional bonus. Once you have completed the New Testament you may start the Old Testament from Genesis. Once you have completed the entire Old Testament, we will pay another additional $100 bonus.

Please follow the instructions as shown below:

1. Always start with a prayer. You need the help of the Holy Spirit so that you may be able to hear from the Lord. You need to start from the book of Matthew and stay in the New Testament until you complete the book of Revelation. Then you can continue with the Old Testament starting from Genesis. Please transcribe in the sequential order according to the Bible

2. You need to finish the book you started before you go to another book. You can submit a portion of the book, but we will hold them until you finish the book. We will accept multiple books if the book has less than 10 chapters. However, books with 13 chapters or more need to be sent one book at a time. It is best if you send in 10 chapters at a time with reflections and applications along with your letter. The amount for the whole book will be paid when you complete the book.

3. You need to clearly write chapter and verse numbers. When writing the Bible please follow the way it is written in the Bible. Sentences always start with a capital letter and follow the punctuations according to what is written in the Bible. Leave a line of space when you start a new chapter.

4. On the first page of your P1 PROJECT, write what Bible translation you are using every time you send in your P1 PROJECT. NWT (Jehovah’s Witness Bible) or Catholic Bible are not allowed.

5. Every time you finish 10 chapters or a book, you must write reflections and applications. You need to clearly indicate by writing “Reflections and Applications (R&A)” and write

a) what God is teaching you through the last 10 chapters, one or a few chapters if the book is short. For example, for the book of Jude, you need to write the R&A after chapter one, for the book of John, you need to write R&As after chapter 10, 20, and 21.

b) how you would like to apply what you learned into your life today and in your future plans. This is to give you an opportunity to get intimate with our Lord, Jesus Christ and to improve applications into your practical life with the Word of God. Please read R&A instructions enclosed.

The P1 PROJECT is not just for money. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. As you send the P1 PROJECT to us, you may want to write your daily experience while you were doing the P1 PROJECT. Also let us know what your life’s background, family situations and your prayer requests are. Our team wants to pray for you, become friends with you and build a long-term relationship which can last even after your release from incarceration.

We will be praying for your success in the P1 PROJECT. Please pray for our ministry as well. Our ministry is The LOCK Ministry. LOCK stands for Love Of Christ’s Kingdom, Learn On Christ’s Kingdom, and Live Out Christ’s Kingdom. We want to bring the Love of Jesus Christ to you, help you to Learn On Christ’s Kingdom and teach you how to Live Out Christ’s Kingdom. May God be with you as you start the P1 PROJECT!
